Most of the posts on this blog are about our son, Jacob. Mainly because he is much more interesting than Max and me. This blog is also being made into a book of memories for our family. Enjoy this peek into our lives!

Sneaux Day

Due to a 30% chance of snow we had a "Snow Day" and were able to stay home from school on Friday. Because the city is ill equipped to deal with such adverse weather, the whole city shut down. It never actually snowed but there was a lot of sleet that froze to everything. There were so many accidents that they had to close the freeways, highways, and bridges. Nobody could come in or out of Baton Rouge. Jacob and I got to hang out at home for the 3rd day this week.  I did some upholstery work, Jacob played here and there. I told him I wanted to take him to see Frozen and he got all excited. Then he got real serious and said, "I'd rather wait until dad gets home so he can come and enjoy it too."  Awwwww. So he called max and asked him and max thought it was soooo sweet! Despite being excited, Jacob actually waited until max came home.

Beautiful Day

We decided to head for the park on this gorgeous MLKjr Day. It was a perfect day for no school. Jacob make quick friends with some little girls and they played dinosaurs. It was a great afternoon but I think he caught something at the park because early the next morning he threw up several times and felt yucky for half the day. Yep, another day at home.

Meatball Sub

Loves a meatball sub at subway. Had to do a dance afterwards. The people in the restaurant thought it was comical but as soon as I started videoing him he hammed it up too much. Silly boy! Also on this outing, we were talking and walking across the parking lot and a black gentleman turned around and stated energetically, "You know you momma love you? She jus love you sooooo much!!! She jus think you da mose special boy in da whole world!!" And then he turned around and kept walking on. Jacob and I thought it was very funny but I let him know that the man was exactly right!
