Most of the posts on this blog are about our son, Jacob. Mainly because he is much more interesting than Max and me. This blog is also being made into a book of memories for our family. Enjoy this peek into our lives!

No Balloons Again
So sad that the Balloon Fest was cancelled again. Not sure what for because there were no storms today. We went to a friend's house in Denham Springs instead and the kids and some adults played in the pool. It was a little embarrasing because all of the kids (ranging from 5 years to 18 months) were like little fish. They swam, and dove, and were more daring in the water than I ever was. And then there was our little guy. Sat in his floaty and paddled around. We will just blame part of it on the fact that he hasn't had swim lessons and that he hasn't had daily access to a pool since he was born. But the other part is that he is just a nervous nelly. He has progressed and will go in the water independantly with just water wings. I have to look back a few months ago at where he used to be. We will have to get him in to swim lessons at least by next year.
